Gold at the 2025 AusMumpreneur Awards For That's The Spot

Move over Olympic medals – Justine, That's The Spot's Owner & Founder, has just snagged the real prize: winning Gold in the Retail Business category at the 2025 AusMumpreneur Awards.

Founded by powerhouse sisters Peace Mitchell and Katy Garner, the AusMumpreneur Awards shine the spotlight on Aussie mums who are juggling nappies, nap times, and next-level businesses. From product innovation to customer service, sustainability to tech wizardry, these awards prove you can have your cake, eat it, and build an empire too.

There are so many incredible women across Australia balancing motherhood and entrepreneurship – and these awards are a chance to share their stories and celebrate their success,” says co-founder Katy Garner.

Justine knows that juggle all too well. "I have built That's The Spot from the ground up with my own two hands. From the business concept, to sourcing products, branding, building my ecommerce store, marketing and promotional activities and of course packing each and every order - I do it all and I do it all while also being a mum, wife and senior employee of another business."

Winning this award is more than just a shiny trophy for Justine (although shiny trophies sure do feel good). It’s a big, loud, proud moment after launching That's The Spot in 2023 and growing the business by 200% in the past 12 months. That's The Spot is making waves, and Justine says "You know you're doing something right when your competitors who started well before you, start copying what you do."

When asked why she loves running her own show, Justine says, "There's nothing more satisfying (literally, I sell vibrators) than having your own business. That's The Spot is the second child I can't have in human form- it has a pulse, and it has given me a sense of purpose like no other professional challenge."

Of course, running a business while raising a family isn’t all champagne and high-fives. “The hard days are hard and the financial risk is big, but when I see the momentum building and I hear from women who finally feel empowered to give and recieve pleasure presents - yikes - I mean, how incredible is it that my idea, my business, my baby could have such an impact on indivuduals and the sexual wellness industry as a whole” she adds.
